I am a lecturer in the Energy Technology Program, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University in Chanthaburi, Thailand.
My academic path began in naval architecture and marine engineering at the International Maritime College, Kasetsart University, where an undergraduate project on CFD-based wind turbine design for Thailand's low-wind conditions set the direction for everything that followed. I later completed a master's degree in welding engineering, which gave me a structural and materials perspective that continues to shape how I approach renewable energy systems — not only how much energy a device can produce, but whether it can survive the environment it is placed in.
Today my work sits at the intersection of marine engineering and renewable energy: floating photovoltaic (FPV) systems and their mooring and structural reliability, hydrokinetic turbine design and optimization, GIS-based multi-criteria decision analysis for siting renewable energy infrastructure, techno-economic assessment, and the integration of clean energy into community-scale microgrids.
Research Interests
Marine and coastal renewable energy — nearshore floating PV, mooring system design, structural and fatigue reliability of offshore energy structures
Hydrokinetic and tidal energy — CFD-based turbine design and optimization for Thai rivers and waterways
Spatial siting and decision support — GIS-MCDA (AHP/TOPSIS) for national- and regional-scale renewable energy site assessment
Techno-economic analysis — LCOE, NPV, and system modeling (HOMER, SAM, REopt) for renewable energy projects
Community energy systems — hybrid microgrids and smart grid integration for coastal and rural communities
Approach
I believe engineering research is most valuable when it moves off the page. Chanthaburi's coastline, rivers, and fishing and agricultural communities are not just a backdrop to my work — they are its intended beneficiary. My aim is to produce research that is rigorous enough for international publication and grounded enough to be built, installed, and used locally.
